David Jefferis Appointed Chief Architect in Residence of Historic Preservation Fund I

Old Growth Ventures has appointed David Jefferis as its Architect in Residence, and Chief Architect of the Historic Preservation Fund I, LP.

David Jefferis, AIA, M. Arch Rice, is Principal Architect of Grayform Architecture. David is the leading historic rehabilitation architect in Houston and has been principal architect on more successful Certificates of Appropriateness from the Houston Archaeological and Historical Commission, and more Good Brick Awards from Preservation Houston, than any other architect.

He was the principal architect on Old Growth Ventures' 908 Sabine St project, a Certified Historic Rehabilitation of a Certified Historic Structure by the National Park Service and Texas Historical Commission, and winner of a 2020 Good Brick Award from Preservation Houston.

As Chief Architect, he oversees the fund's architectural work, the City of Houston CoA process, and advises Old Growth Ventures on marrying historic rehabilitation practices and code issues.

"We've worked with David on all our projects. Marrying the needs of functional design, historic rehabilitations, modern building code, and meeting separate city, state and federal historic guidelines is a specialized practice," said Neal Dikeman, CEO of Old Growth Ventures. "Our fund will do more certified historic rehabilitation projects than any other company in the country, and it was crucial to partner with an architect capable of delivering on that goal."
